Robin Dorman has been hired by TCS Media to expand its Midlands operation - 24/10/11

Dorman, 42, has joined the Worcester based arm of TCS after a short spell at Mindshare. Previous to this he headed up the broadcast department at The Media Works where he spent 10 years.

Simon Parker, managing director, at TCS, said “we are delighted that Robin has joined us. He brings a wealth of experience with him and is a great fit for the team. It is not often you can lure talent of his type to the region”

Part of Dorman’s remit will be business development as well as specific group client assignments.
Cirque du Soleil moves back into TCS - 12/09/11

TCS Media has won back the £500,000 planning and buying assignment for Cirque du Soleil’s 2012 spectacular, Totem.

The show running throughout January and February returns to the Royal Albert Hall with its breath-taking trademark acrobatics and magical staging.

Peter Smith, TCS Director, said “we are delighted to be working with the company again. The show is one of the great events of the entertainments calendar”

TCS Media has worked with Cirque du Soleil on and off since the mid 90’s.


TCS wins Centre:MK buying brief - 14/09/11

TCS Media has been appointed to manage the centre:mk’s £500,000 media planning and buying account.

In a top down review of their marketing communications strategy, the centre:mk have given TCS Media the task of driving footfall in to the shopping complex over the crucial Christmas trading period. The appointment was made at the same time as TomlinBean was recruited to overhaul the creative strategy.

David Price, associate director at TCS, said “this is a real challenge and one that we are relishing. The UK retail scene is in the maelstrom of economic uncertainty and shoppers are the life-blood of the industry. In the centre:mk we have a great product, an icon of the local area. Our job is to ensure that its appeal is as strong as the day it was launched”

The campaign will involve a mix of broadcast, online and print media and represents a major shift in strategic direction.


World Horse Welfare moves in to TCS - 08/08/11

Leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare has awarded its media planning and buying account to TCS Media following a shoot-out with the incumbent, All Response Media.

The account is a real coup for the agency. Alan Hall, group account director, said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at World Horse Welfare. There has never been a tougher economic climate in which to ask for money and support but we are relishing the challenge.”

World Horse Welfare is dedicated to promoting horse welfare in the UK and worldwide. The charity has four rescue and rehoming centres in Britain and a network of full-time welfare field staff. Overseas, it provides communities with the skills and training to care for their working horses and enhance horse owners’ prospects.  The charity also delivers high profile and effective international campaigns to promote the welfare of horses at home and abroad.  Everywhere it works, it has committed and passionate staff whose goal it is to improve the lives of horses, like Dan featured below.




Sainsbury’s goes shopping at TCS - 20/05/11

Sainsbury’s has appointed TCS Media to handle media planning and buying for Sainsbury’s ‘Super Saturday festival’ in September. TCS beat an undisclosed agency in the final shoot out. The £500,000 campaign breaks this month.

The one-day festival is in support of London’s 2012 Paralympic Games. Taking place on Clapham Common the event on September 10th includes performances by Taio Cruz, The Saturdays and Chipmunk.
